CCP for SME Executives

The Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) has been appointed by Workforce Singapore (WSG) as the Programme Manager to administer the Career Conversion Programme (CCP) for SME Executives. Structured to equip PMETs to acclimatise to an SME working environment and acquire necessary foundational skills in various business functional areas such as human resources, finance, admin and operations, sales and marketing. The programme also benefits SMEs by providing salary support for SMEs to reskill jobseekers in new job roles.

Programme Outline

Newly hired PMETs will undergo a 3-month programme, which includes a 3-day workshop and structured On-The-Job Training (OJT) at the hiring company.

Eligibility Criteria for SMEs:

    − Companies registered or incorporated in Singapore
    − Employment size of not more than 200; OR Annual sales turnover of not more than S$100 million
    − Must be able to offer at least a 12-month employment for a full time PMET role with a fixed monthly salary of at least $2,700
    − Must put in place structured OJT for the candidate and commit to CCP training arrangements for the trainees
    − Be committed to work with WSG or its appointed programme partners on the necessary admin matters related to the programme

Eligibility Criteria for PMETs:

    − Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident who is at least 21 years old and is keen to pursue a full-time career in an SME
    − Must be newly hired PMET (i.e., not more than three (3) months from date of employment), and nominated by an eligible company for the CCP
    − Have graduated or completed National Service at least 2 years prior at the point of application
    − New job role trained for under the CCP should be substantially different from previous job role: or
    − Has held a similar role previously in a non-SME prior to joining the company, and new role has an enlarged jobs cope
    − Must not have any:
          − relations to shareholder(s) of CCP company and/or its related entities (subsidiaries, affiliated companies or companies with common shareholders as the participating CCP company)
          − familiar relations to the shareholder(s) of the CCP company; and
          − immediate past employment with the CCP company or related entities
          − form of shareholding within the participating company or related entities

Upon completion of the programme and having met all the training requirements, participating SMEs can also enjoy up to 90% salary support for each PMET enrolled onto the CCP.

For Singapore Citizen (SC) and Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) trainees who are unemployed and actively seeking employment for more than 6 months (LTU), and/or SC and SPR trainees aged 40 years and above in the year of commencement of the CCP
