Programme Introduction

The Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) together with Acc Pro (Singapore) Group will be organising a Start-Up Workshop on Understanding the Fundamentals of Business Accounting and Government Support Programmes on Tues, 29 Aug 2017. At this workshop, Ms Jennifer Chang from Acc Pro (Singapore) will share successful case studies and the step-by-step approach on how experienced business owners can redefine their business goals. Their principal consultant Mr Alvin Lim will also share on basic accounting information from the Financial Statement and common pitfalls which business owners should take note.

Following which, Victor Goh, Co-founder and business development director of Acc Pro (Singapore) will share on Cloud Accounting and how it has changed the whole landscape of the business world. He will share how the cloud solutions can help business owners to automate their accounting and operational process.

SMEs could develop a strong Singaporean core in a manpower-lean economy through enhanced programmes under the Adapt & Grow Initiative announced by the Ministry of Manpower. In addition to sharing on employment facilitation assistance for SMEs, Workforce Singapore will brief on the various programmes such as Career Support Programme, Work Trial and Jobsbank.

Lastly, SNEF will introduce the P-Max Place-and-Train Programme which aims to facilitate the entry of PMETs into suitable SME jobs and help SMEs better cope with the challenges of talent recruitment in an increasingly tight labour market. Upon successful completion of the programme, SMEs will be eligible for a one-time Assistance Grant of $5000. Participants will also learn about how the Professional Conversion programme can help jobseekers to reskill and acquire necessary knowledge and competencies to take on new jobs. Eligible companies will receive training grants and salary support of up to $36,000.
