SME Talk on Harnessing the Potential of Mature PMETs and Government Support Programmes

The Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) together with the Workforce Singapore (WSG) will be organising a SME Talk on Harnessing the Potential of Mature PMETs and Government Support Programmes on Tue, 29 Sep 2020.
WSG will share on the various programmes and recruitment platforms available for hiring employers to tap on. These include, SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways, Career Trial and the Professional Conversion Programme to encourage employers to hire eligible locals.
After which, employers will also find out how the P-Max Place-and-Train Programme facilitate the entry of PMETs into suitable SME jobs. Upon completion of the programme, companies will receive a one-time assistance grant of $5,000. Companies applying under the P-Max track for Singapore Citizens PMETs aged ≥ 50 would be entitled to an additional $5,000 assistance grant (capped at $10,000 per company).
Lastly, our invited speaker, Mr Victor Kow will talk on how employers can develop and implement HR strategies to better suit the SMEs and mature PMETs in achieving better goals, such as:
(a) Understand the key characteristics and potential of older workers
(b) The key strength of older workers
(c) Helping older workers to transit from traditional career to protean career
(d) Characteristics of protean career pattern and its relevance to older workers
(e) How HR policies can be re-invented to take advantage of the experience of older workers
(f) Examples of possible areas of HR policies and practices that can be re-invented
