Programme Introduction

The Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) will be organising a SME Series on Budget 2019 Highlights and Programmes Under Adapt and Grow Initiatives on Monday, 25 March 2019.

The Minister for Finance, Mr Heng Swee Keat delivered his Budget Statement for the Financial Year 2019 on Mon 18 Feb 2019. RSM will be sharing with our SME employers the key highlights of this Budget and will provide the business community with a greater understanding of the various initiatives and the implications of the Budget proposals on businesses.

SMEs could develop a strong Singaporean core in a manpower-lean economy through enhanced programmes under the Adapt & Grow Initiative. In addition to sharing on employment facilitation assistance for SMEs, Workforce Singapore will brief on the various programmes such as Enhanced Career Support Programme, Career Trial and Jobsbank.

SNEF will also share on 2 programmes by under the Adapt and Grow Initiative, one of which is the P-Max Place-and-Train Programme which aims to facilitate the entry of PMETs into suitable SME jobs and help SMEs better cope with the challenges of talent recruitment in an increasingly tight labour market. Upon successful completion of the programme, SMEs will be eligible for a one-time Assistance Grant of $5,000. The other programme would be the Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) which aims to help jobseekers reskill and acquire necessary knowledge and competencies to take on new jobs. Eligible companies will receive training grants and salary support of up to $18,000.
