Programme Introduction

EXCLUSIVE INVITATION
Employers are urged to attend this important dialogue.

The Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) and the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) are pleased to organise a Leaders’ Dialogue Session – Supporting Businesses and the Community in the Aftermath of a Crisis or Terror Attack on Tue, 12 Nov 2019.

The SGSecure@Workplaces programme was launched in Sep 2017, to scale up efforts to enhance the readiness of workplaces to prevent and deal with terrorism. An attack can disrupt business operations, employees may stop reporting to work and lives may be lost.

As an employer, you play an important role in preparing your workforce and workplaces against crises. Our ability to respond in critical moments matters. We must ensure our workforce remains cohesive; our businesses are able to recover quickly, in order for us to return to normalcy as soon as possible.

We have invited a panel of distinguished speakers, who have experienced or managed crises or terror attacks, and through their knowledge and on-the-ground experience are passionate to help employers in the following aspects :

* Develop strategies from a behavioural science perspective on managing the various challenges to businesses after crisis hits ;

* Provide Psychological First Aid (PFA) to affected employees / victims during crisis ;

* Gain insights into how businesses can rebound from a crisis with a united workforce and a feasible business contingency plan ; and

* Learn life lessons from the survivor of a terror attack on strengthening the role of victims and incorporating efforts to counter violent extremism (CVE).
