Programme Introduction

Synopsis
Job sharing is one of the Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA) that can be easily implemented in an organization. As one component of the Enhanced Work-Life Grant (EWLG), the Job Sharing Incentive (JSI) provides funding to companies up to $35,000 for getting their employees to utilise job sharing.

To share a job effectively, organisations must be able to analyse and evaluate a job to understand the purpose it serves and how it relates to the larger organisation. Proper job analysis benefits not only the company but more importantly, workers, who now have clarity of their roles. With that and together with FWAs such as Job Sharing, employees will become more engaged leading to higher productivity.

In this session, participants would understand more about job analysis and job sharing, including, (1) How to analyse and evaluate a job, (2) Benefits of Job Sharing to Employers and Employees, (3) How to implement Job Sharing and (4) How local companies in Singapore practice Job Sharing.

Participants would also receive valuable information and advice on the government grants (and the mechanics behind claims) that supports this initiative.

Target Audience
Managers and executives who have applied for, or are intending to apply for, the Job Sharing Incentive under the WorkPro Enhanced Worklife Grant (EWLG).

This workshop would also benefit managers and executives who want to understand job analysis, job evaluation and other forms of FWA so as to implement job sharing initiatives in the company or organization.

Methodology
Mix of lectures, case studies and discussions.

Facilitator
Mr Freddy Liew is an award recipient of the SNEF-STEPHEN LEE AWARD for leadership development in Tripartism and Industrial Relations.
